I approach counseling from a cognitive-behavioral perspective and surmise that many behaviors are a direct result of thoughts, emotions and environmental influences.
"Kim is fabulous. We attended play therapy for our daughter when we adopted her at age 3. Kim has an obvious desire to honor God through her job and bring help and healing to families. I highly recommend her!!"

"Kim is the best. She is so supportive and kind. She met me where I was at emotionally and worked to validate me while also motivating me for change."

Though I work with clients across the lifespan, I have extensive experience working with children, as young as 3 years, and adolescents struggling with various behavioral and emotional issues. I enjoy working with young adults as they navigate the transition into adulthood. My work with adults includes parenting, mild to moderate emotional health concerns and general life issues. I also provide consultation/ professional development trainings for and seminar presentations to daycares, churches and schools.
Whatever challenges you may be experiencing, the care you receive at Abounding Hope Counseling is rooted in respect, consistency, and a belief that transformation is always within reach.
